NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson has joined the OpenAirInterface Software Alliance (OSA) as a strategic member and part of the Board to drive the development of 5G technology and 6G, as well as, promote the adoption of open standards and interoperability.
“By becoming a member of the OpenAirInterface Alliance, Ericsson demonstrates its dedication to open standards, interoperability, and the shared goal of pushing the boundaries of wireless technology,” Ericsson said.

Ericsson will engage with the OpenAirInterface (OAI) community with its research and development center in France.
