Maya Netser, Managing Partner at Qbeat Ventures, made the remarks at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s Mind The Tech conference in New York.
“Quantum is a revolution. Quantum is a new computer and it stems out of quantum mechanics and physics, not a normal classical computer that we all use,” explained Maya Netser, Managing Partner at Qbeat Ventures. “Classical computers use bits that are zero and one. A quantum computer uses qubits that could be zero or one simultaneously. That allows us to compute things that are currently impossible to compute. People sometimes mistakenly think that quantum computing is faster. But it’s actually not faster, it just solves problems that right now are just impossible to solve.”
Netser made the remarks at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s Mind The Tech conference in New York. Qbeat Ventures is a newly established fund dedicated to early-stage investments in Quantum Technologies, primarily focusing on the EMEA region. According to Nester, quantum stocks have soared more than 1,000% in the last year and will change every industry from chemistry to drug discovery, mobility, and the financial sectors.
“This is a cross industry revolution, and we want to be part of it,” she concluded. “We think this will enable the world to address topics and problems that affect our lives.”
