Nvidia is announcing today that founder and CEO Jensen Huang will keynote a splashy AI conference in Washington on Oct. 28, with a focus on how Nvidia is helping U.S. technology power global innovation.
- The event will be called GTC DC, after Nvidia’s glitzy annual GTC (short for GPU Technology Conference) in San Jose, which has been called AI Woodstock and the Super Bowl of AI.
- GTC DC will be at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from Oct. 27-29.
Why it matters: The keynote reflects increasing Washington engagement by Huang — who talks regularly with President Trump, and last month persuaded him to allow the resumption of chip sales in China.
Nvidia says GTC DC will include government leaders, industry representatives and academics, with conversations on AI innovation, manufacturing in America, and the U.S. role in the global AI landscape.
- The conference will feature 70+ sessions, including live demos, training and certification sessions, and hands-on workshops from robotics to AI infrastructure, physical AI, agentic AI and reasoning AI, remote sensing, high-performance computing and quantum computing.
Huang said in a statement: “AI is the most transformative technology in human history — and the race is on. GTC DC brings together researchers, developers, business leaders, and policymakers in the heart of our nation’s capital to explore breakthroughs in AI, robotics, life sciences, energy, quantum, and 6G — advancing innovations vital to America’s technological leadership.”
