Further Showing Massive Interest In NVIDIA’s Next-Gen AI Chips
Nscale will be adding 30,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs in addition to the 100,000 chips that are already being deployed at its facilities in 2027.
Nscale Scales Up Its AI Datacenters With 30,000 Additional NVIDIA Rubin GPUs, Bringing The Total Count To 130,000
NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin AI chips are hot in demand, and the reason behind this is simple: they are aiming to be the fastest solution for AI inferencing, fueling the race towards Agentic AI.
Josh Payne, Founder and CEO at Nscale said: “Customer demand for advanced AI infrastructure continues to accelerate across markets, and our focus is on bringing the latest technology online in the right locations and at real scale. Deployments in Narvik reflect strong demand from customers and Nscale continues to respond with pace and relentless execution.”
Today, Nscale announced that, given the huge interest from its partners such as Microsoft, the company will be adding additional capacity to its AI datacenters. Nscale had already announced a deployment of 100,000 Vera Rubin chips in its datacenters. Now, the company is adding 30,000 more Rubin GPUs.

With the additional GPU capacity, Nscale will be able to expand its deal with Microsoft, resulting in the Nscale Narvik campus hitting 230MW of AI chip capacity. The company states that this will be the “largest onshore infrastructure project in Norway”.
In the previous announcement, Nscale had already unveiled itself as one of the first global providers to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin chips, combining advanced architectures such as NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and NVIDIA Vera Rubin, and rolling them out to their customers by 2027.
“Deploying agentic and physical AI requires a new class of supercomputing infrastructure capable of delivering scale and efficiency for demanding inference workloads,” said Ian Buck, Vice President and General Manager, Hyperscale and HPC, NVIDIA. “Nscale’s deployment of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform will provide critical AI infrastructure for European developers to push the frontiers of AI.”
The extra 30,000 chips are also said to be deployed by 2027. While the 30,000 GPUs will be aimed at the Narvik facility, the rest of the 100,000 chips will be deployed across Nscale sites in Europe (UK, Norway, and beyond). The rack-scale AI datacenters will be composed of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 systems, which house 72 Rubin GPUs each, along with Vera CPUs. This will be a major undertaking for Nscale and shows the continued interest in NVIDIA’s AI solutions.
