Architecting the future ready financial operating system
The transformation of India’s financial sector is being guided by three key principles: intelligence, sovereignty, and scalability. Since it has developed one of the most advanced Digital Public Infrastructures in the world led by Aadhaar, UPI, DigiLocker, ONDC and other interoperable digital platforms, India is now in a position to move towards a financial future that is native to AI. The following stage of development will be driven by the combination of artificial intelligence, programmable financial infrastructure, open finance frameworks, and trusted data-sharing ecosystems.
The report points out emerging trends including agentic AI, tokenised financial assets, embedded regulatory intelligence, consent-driven finance, and quantum-safe security architectures.
