The AI giant is an anchor investor for the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund, along with the Kuwait Investment Authority, Brookfield said last year. The fund is focusing on investing in the AI buildout, backing factories, dedicated behind-the-meter power solutions and compute infrastructure.
The New York-based firm has emerged as a key player in providing private capital for the AI buildout. It’s raising $10 billion for the AI infrastructure fund, as part of a broader plan to raise around $50 billion for the infrastructure group over the next two years, with AI featuring in every strategy, Bloomberg previously reported.
Brookfield is also part of an Nvidia consortium that’s committing to financing AI computing deals totaling more than $500 billion.
