Investing.com– Broadcom’s Wall Street syndicate are starting to gather $60 billion of fresh financing to benefit Anthropic and other artificial intelligence companies, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Banks involved in the package are set to send out syndication letters for a $42 billion class A senior-secured tranche, Bloomberg reported.
The Bloomberg report comes after Anthropic’s initial public offering filing showed Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO) had agreed to lend Anthropic up to $42 billion to finance infrastructure spending– a development first reported by Reuters this week.
The two companies are closely tied, with Anthropic set to become Broadcom’s largest chip design customer by next year.

Broadcom could designate a financing partner as part of the arrangement, and the debt instruments could be converted into Anthropic shares.
Anthropic had announced an expanded partnership with Broadcom and Google earlier this year that would grant it access to multiple gigawatts of next-generation tensor processing unit compute capacity from 2027.
But this week’s disclosures drummed up concerns over circular financing and potential conflicts of interest between Broadcom and Anthropic.
