Anthropic reported $33.24 billion in revenue for the first nine months of 2026, up roughly 1,200% year on year, with third-quarter revenue alone reaching nearly $17 billion. The Claude maker also disclosed a $104.04 billion net loss and $895.4 billion in computing-related spending commitments in an updated IPO filing.
Anthropic’s revenue surged roughly 1,200% year-on-year to $33.24 billion in the first nine months of 2026, underscoring the rapid commercial adoption of its artificial intelligence (AI) products as the Claude maker moves closer to its much-anticipated initial public offering (IPO).
The company disclosed the January-September performance in an updated S-1 registration statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), adding its September-quarter results to the financial disclosures in its original IPO filing.
Revenue in the third quarter alone stood at nearly $17 billion, compared with $16.29 billion in the first half of 2026. The latest figures highlight the pace at which Anthropic’s business has expanded, with quarterly revenue now exceeding its entire first-half total.
However, the rapid growth has been accompanied by substantial losses. Anthropic reported a net loss of $104.04 billion for the nine months ended September 2026, compared with $25.11 billion in the corresponding period last year.

The third-quarter net loss stood at $23.29 billion, sharply lower than the $66.3 billion reported in the previous quarter. The company also swung to an operating loss of $567 million in the September quarter, from an operating income of $974 million in the June quarter.
A significant portion of Anthropic’s reported losses has been driven by non-cash accounting adjustments, particularly changes in the fair value of convertible notes and other financing instruments. These adjustments were primarily linked to the increase in the company’s valuation.
The updated filing also puts the spotlight on the enormous infrastructure requirements underpinning Anthropic’s expansion. The company disclosed approximately $895.4 billion in computing-related spending commitments and lease agreements with partners, including Amazon and Google.
The fresh financial disclosures come as Anthropic prepares for a potential stock market debut, which could rank among the largest IPOs on record.
