Akamai Technologies has launched an inference cloud platform with Nvidia hardware.

The new offering expands on the Akamai Inference Cloud platform, launched earlier this year.

The platform uses Nvidia RTX PRO Servers, featuring Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, Nvidia BlueField-3 DPUs, and Nvidia AI Enterprise software with Akamai’s distributed cloud computing infrastructure and global Edge network, which has more than 4,200 locations worldwide.

Powered by Nvidia AI infrastructure, Akamai Inference Cloud will meet the intensifying demand to scale AI inference capacity and performance by putting AI’s decision-making in thousands of locations around the world, enabling faster, smarter, and more secure responses.”

The inference cloud offering is now available, with Akamai targeting 20 initially and plans for an expanded rollout.

Akamai has been increasingly expanding its cloud offerings, having previously been best known for its CDN services. The company launched a managed container service in February 2025. In its financial quarter ending in August 2025, the company’s cloud segment saw a quarterly revenue of $71 million, up 30 percent year-over-year (YoY).
