Will be available natively on OCI
Cloudflare is set to integrate its connectivity cloud platform with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
The Cloudflare platform will be natively available on OCI, including across hybrid, multicloud, and OCI-hosted applications.
The connectivity cloud platform enables customers to connect all their networks securely and have simpler visibility of their data and infrastructure.
“We all see how AI is transforming the way organizations and their employees operate, and we need to pay equal attention to how AI is expanding our threat landscapes,” said Tom Evans, chief partner officer at Cloudflare.
“Organizations need a comprehensive platform that delivers flexibility, performance, and security. Our integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will help ensure businesses everywhere, across any cloud environment, can run their workloads on a unified platform with security and speed at the forefront.”
“At Oracle, we are committed to helping our customers run their most critical workloads securely, reliably, and at scale,” added David Hicks, group vice president, ISV Ecosystem, Oracle North America. “Through our partnership with Cloudflare, we will enable organizations to protect cloud and AI workloads while enhancing resilience and performance across hybrid and multicloud environments. Together, we will give businesses the confidence to innovate and grow, knowing their applications and data are protected every step of the way.”
Oracle has, in recent years, made moves to embrace multicloud and hybrid solutions for its customers. The company has teamed up with other hyperscalers – namely Microsoft, Google, and Amazon Web Services – to launch “Database@” services that see Oracle hardware deployed in its competitors’ data centers.
The company launched the offering with Microsoft in 2023 and announced an Oracle Database@AWS in 2024 with plans to be available in 2025. The AWS solution became available in limited preview in December 2024. The Google multicloud offering was expanded earlier this year and became generally available in September 2024.
