International Yoga Day images: June 21 marked the seventh Yoga Day. The theme for this year is ‘Yoga For Wellness’, which focuses on practising Yoga for physical and mental wellbeing. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed marking a day as the International Day of Yoga in his address at the UN General Assembly, and the proposal was endorsed by 175 member states, post which the United Nations recognised June 21 as the day to celebrate Yoga. The Consulate General of India, New York in partnership with Times Square Alliance hosted the 7th International Day of Yoga celebrations on Sunday at the popular city destination, known as the crossroads of the world.
