CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – GE Aerospace has secured the largest single order for intercontinental wide-body engines in the company’s history.

The White House on May 14 first announced the deal between Cincinnati-based GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE), the world’s largest aircraft engine manufacturer, and Qatar Airways, the seventh-largest airline in the world as of 2024 and among the fastest growing, according to Airways Magazine.

The announcement came during President Donald Trump’s trip to the Middle Eastern country. It’s part of $243.5 billion in deals involving U.S. and Qatari companies struck during the trip, according to the White House.
