NTT DATA and Google Cloud Partner to Accelerate Agentic AI Adoption and Cloud Modernization : US Pioneer Global VC DIFCHQ SFO NYC Singapore – Riyadh Swiss Our Mind

NTT DATA and Google Cloud are expanding their partnership to help enterprises adopt agentic AI and modernize their cloud environments. The partnership focuses on delivering measurable results through industry-specific AI solutions, secure cloud deployments, and a global delivery model designed for scale.

The companies will co-develop AI-driven solutions tailored for sectors such as banking, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and the public sector. These will draw on NTT DATA’s industry expertise and frameworks, combined with Google Cloud’s AI stack, including Gemini models, secure data environments, and modern data platforms.

Rishi Kulkarni, Senior Vice President at NTT DATA, told ChannelE2E that the focus is on solving critical problems with measurable impact.

“Our Agentic AI solutions are focused on solving critical industry problems with quantifiable results and not just nice-to-have pain points. We are collaborating with Google Cloud on our Takumi Advisory framework and smart AI Agents to help enterprises decipher the potential of Agentic AI and develop strategies accordingly. Our methodology moves through four phases – value definition, proof of value, value realization, and scale and optimize – ensuring initiatives are aligned with business goals, validated, realized in production, and scaled for broader impact. Our smart AI Agents come with a library of pre-built industry-centric agents, supported by managed services that monitor, measure, and optimize them through their lifecycle to ensure successful business outcomes.”

Modernization and Sovereign Cloud Capabilities

The partnership also includes initiatives for AI-driven cloud modernization using Google Distributed Cloud, enabling secure deployments from data centers to the edge. Sovereign cloud options will support both air-gapped and connected environments to meet strict data residency and compliance needs in regulated industries.

Kulkarni noted that sovereignty and innovation can go hand in hand. “We are collaborating with Google Cloud on their Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped portfolio, which offers complete isolation and sovereignty for enterprises with stringent regulatory requirements, while still providing leading AI capabilities. This includes AI-enabled offline visual and audio translation, video analysis, and generative AI search. Our teams are gaining hands-on experience through Google Distributed Cloud’s sandbox environment to train engineers on data and security controls, and we are building industry-centric sovereign solutions that are fully GDC compliant and leverage AI capabilities for accelerated deployment and flexible configurations.”

Full-Stack Services and GenAI Integration

NTT DATA will provide end-to-end services – advisory, implementation, hosting, and managed services – using proven blueprints and delivery models. Its Takumi GenAI framework integrates with Google Cloud technologies to accelerate prototyping and enterprise rollout of AI solutions. This initiative expands NTT DATA’s Smart AI Agent Ecosystem, bringing together technology partnerships, AI-ready talent, and specialized assets for large-scale, responsible AI deployments.

Scaling with a Global Google Cloud Business Group

A new global Google Cloud Business Group within NTT DATA will bring together thousands of engineers, architects, and consultants dedicated to joint delivery.

“Google Cloud Business group inside NTT Data will enable a community of 5,000 certified engineers in Google Cloud technology scaling its global Google Cloud delivery capabilities across 50+ countries, both companies are also co-investing in global sales and go-to-market initiatives by aligning technical, sales and marketing expertise to accelerate innovative solution build, co-selling and client adoption across priority industries and regions. This will enable partners to engage with global Google and NTT Data teams for building joint solutions, global GTM approaches and scaled delivery leveraging NTT Data’s local delivery centers. This close collaboration will help partners support clients drive cloud-led innovation and take advantage of the possibilities of AI,” Kulkarni said.

This expanded collaboration builds on the companies’ 2024 APAC co-innovation agreement and NTT DATA’s acquisition of Google Cloud specialist Niveus Solutions. Together, they aim to accelerate adoption of AI-powered cloud solutions globally, helping enterprises modernize operations while meeting industry-specific and regulatory needs.
