Nvidia (NVDA) on Monday announced deals with firms in the United Kingdom as the U.K. government looks to bulk up the country’s capabilities in artificial intelligence. Nvidia stock rose on news of its latest sovereign AI wins.

With Nvidia’s support, the U.K. is building sovereign compute infrastructure and investing in cutting-edge research and skills, the chipmaker said in a blog post. Nvidia made the announcements at London Tech Week.

Cloud computing provider Nscale announced at the conference a commitment to deploy U.K. AI infrastructure with 10,000 Nvidia Blackwell graphics processing units by the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, cloud provider Nebius plans to launch its first AI factory in the U.K. It is bringing 4,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs online, the company announced. Those AI processors will be available to U.K. research, academia and public services, including the National Health Service.

At London Tech Week, Nvidia and prominent British companies are hosting the first U.K. Sovereign AI Industry Forum. Founding members of the forum include U.K. businesses Babcock, BAE Systems, BT, National Grid and Standard Chartered. The forum is seeking to strengthen the nation’s economic security by advancing sovereign AI infrastructure and accelerating the growth of the U.K. AI startup ecosystem.

Nvidia Stock Is On Two IBD Lists

To support the U.K. government’s goal of training developers in AI, Nvidia plans to set up a new Nvidia AI Technology Center in the U.K. It will provide hands-on training in AI, data science and accelerated computing, focusing on foundation model builders, embodied AI, materials science and earth systems modeling.

Also at London Tech Week, Nvidia highlighted how U.K. companies and government agencies are already using its AI computing tools.

Up next for Nvidia is the company’s GTC Paris event at VivaTech, where Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang will give a keynote speech on Wednesday.
